Fares & Tickets

Adult fares

Normal adult single fares are available on all service from £1.10 to £3.00

Day return fares are available on all normal services for 1.5 times the single fare, but if you are making several journeys on our services, or your return fare is over £3.40, then get the - 

 SLT Day Ticket  £3.50 

Unlimited travel for one day on all SLT services - valid on day of purchase only

For regular travellers, weekly tickets are available which give huge discounts over normal fares - all these tickets can be bought on the bus at any time and are valid for 7 days:

SLT Weekly Ticket  £10.00 

Unlimited travel for 7 days on all SLT services in Greater Manchester (except School Services, but including all services to Trafford Centre)

GMTL/System One Tickets & Travelcards are valid on all bus services in Greater Manchester area

 GMTL Daysavers can be bought and used on all our buses within Greater Manchester.

GMTL Day Saver Tickets For Bus, Train & Metrolink Travel

Bus Only.......£4.00  
All day travel on any bus in Greater Manchester after 0930 in the morning - cannot be bought on bus until after 0930.

Bus only........£4.50  
This ticket represents truly excellent value for money, allowing you to travel all day on any bus* within Greater Manchester. Valid until 0400hrs the next morning.**

Bus & Train........£5.00
For one day's unlimited travel throughout Greater Manchester on any bus* and train+ and the City Zone of Metrolink, the bus and train Day Saver is the answer. Available from 9.30am Monday-Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Valid until 0400hrs the next morning.**

Bus & Metrolink........£5.00
The combination of unlimited daily travel on any bus* and Metrolink gives you quick and easy access throughout the region. Available from 9.30am Monday-Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Valid until 0400hrs the next morning.**

Train & Metrolink........£6.00
The combination of unlimited daily travel on train and Metrolink gives you easy access to all areas within Greater Manchester. Available from 9.30am Monday-Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Valid until 0400hrs the next morning.**

Bus, Train & Metrolink........£7.00
1 Ticket that gives you complete access to one of the best integrated public transport systems in the country, 1 day's unlimited travel on any bus*, train+ or Metrolink. Available from 9.30am Monday-Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Valid until 0400hrs the next morning.**

* This refers to all buses operating in the System 1 Travel network. The tickets are valid on, but for the moment cannot be issued by First Calderline, First Huddersfield, Trent Buses, MTL or from drivers of school buses.

+ This refers to all scheduled rail services in the Greater Manchester area.

** Please refer to the relevant timetable for details of all service termination times.

Child/OAP fares

Greater Manchester OAPs can travel on all services for the standard GMPTE concessionary fare of 70p single before 0930 (Mondays to Fridays) and free at all other times on production of Concessionary Pass. If a pass is not shown full adult fare must be paid. OAPs from outside Greater Manchester can travel free after 0930 (Mon-Fri) and all day Saturdays and Sundays. Before 0930 (Mon-Fri) however they must pay normal adult fare.

Children under 16 travel for 70p (single) at all times
